Save restaurants and places from Reels to Google Maps

Travel and food Reels name places in passing, on a sign, or in the caption. Magpie detects them, and /maps either lists them or adds them to a Google Maps list you labeled, like "lisbon" or "date night".

How to do it

  1. 01

    Send the Reel

    Share the food or travel Reel to @magpie.bot.

  2. 02

    See the places

    Reply with /maps to see what Magpie detected.

  3. 03

    Add to a list

    Reply with /maps and a label, for example /maps lisbon, to add the places to that list.

What if a Reel mentions several places?

Magpie lists each place it detects so you can see them before adding them to a list.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Saving and /maps work in Instagram DM. Labeled lists are created once in the dashboard.
